Volunteer

The people of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast area are still in need of help to get their lives back together as are the residents of Northern Ohio who suffered flooding this past summer. To meet that need Servants Unite is continuing to sponsor trips. Volunteers are the most sought after resource, even above food and cash, and will continue to be for months more. Your time working or financial support sending others down will have a huge impact on the lives and hearts of some very hurt, but hopeful people who are victims of this storm.

Trips generally leave at 8:00am on Saturday and return the following Saturday evening. Special circumstances, however, can easily be accommodated.

Please use the info on the Contact Us page for questions or to sign up.

Munchies for the long road trip

What to know if you are considering a trip

You do not need to be a Christian

or any particular denomination to participate

The work:

Initial Response—feeding and meeting other immediate physical needs of storm victims.

Cleanup—mucking out destroyed household items and building materials.

Reconstruction—reinstalling insulation, drywall and finishing, floors, doors, windows, trim, cabinets, countertops, fixtures, and appliances.

Skills in any of these areas are certainly beneficial to the effort, but not required. The number one job is showing the caring and compassion of Christ to victims of natural disasters.

From our work away from home we’ve learned the same services are needed here and the results are no less inspiring. Please join our local efforts as well.
